John Travolta is on quite a roll. Rumor has it the Wild Hogs star, already set to re-team with his Hogs director Walt Becker for the comedy Old Dogs, is now reportedly close to signing on for Bold Frogs, a project described by one industry insider as "a buddy comedy revolving around two best friends and business partners forced to go undercover as flamboyant Frenchmen when their Paris vacation goes hilariously awry."
The comedy would complete Travolta's "middle-aged star just phoning it in" trilogy. Billy Crystal is reportedly being eyed to co-star.

Buoyed by the shocking success of the critically chided Wild Hogs, John Travolta has signed on to star in Old Dogs, a film The Hollywood Reporter describes as "a buddy comedy revolving around two best friends and business partners whose lives are turned upside down when they find themselves in the care of 7-year-old twins."
It's like Mr. Mom, times two! And if that isn't enough to whet your appetite, uber-wacky Robin Williams is set to co-star, reports THR. It's a match made in comedy heaven.

It was a bloodbath at the box office this weekend, with six new releases competing for eyeballs. In the end, TMNT came out on top with a gross of a little over $25 million. 300 remained strong, coming in second with $20 million. Shooter placed third with a $14.5 million take, while Wild Hogs continued its bewildering box office run, bringing in $14.3 million. (My theory: teenagers bought tickets to Wild Hogs and snuck into 300 and The Hills Have Eyes 2.) Rounding out the top five was The Last Mimzy, with a somewhat disappointing take of $10.2 million.

300 continues to rake in the blood-covered dough, landing in first place at the box office for the second consecutive weekend. Although the final reports aren't yet in, early estimates have the Spartan gorefest spearing just over $31 million for the weekend. This puts
300 well over the coveted $100 million domestic mark in just over a week in release.
The
simply awful Wild Hogs continues to take cash from the easily amused, landing in second with an estimated $18.8 million, while Sandra Bullock's desperate
(and poorly reviewed) Premonition placed third with an $18 million take.
