A plethora of box office underperformers arrive on DVD this week, including Andy Samberg's feature film debut Hot Rod, Lindsay Lohan's stripper thriller I Know Who Killed Me, Rowan Atkinson's latest wacky misadventure, Mr. Bean's Holiday, the inspirational teenage comedy Bratz and the werewolves-vs.-werewolves horror flick Skinwalkers.
Our DVD pick for this week is Waitress, the sunny romantic comedy written and directed by the late Adrienne Shelly. Check out Heather's review here.

Want to spend some q/t with your mom? What better way to show her you love her than watching a movie together? I personally can think of none.
In the theaters this weekend, your best bets for mom-friendly flicks are Waitress and Georgia Rule.
Or, you could always snuggle up with her on the sofa and let her change your poopy diaper while you watch Terms of Endearment. Or Saw II. I hear that's big with the moms.
Next Showing: Mother's Day is Sunday, May 13.

To coincide with the release of Waitress and Mother's Day (It's this Sunday kids, so get those cards in the mail!) Fox Searchlight has cooked up a sweet little promotion at 100 theaters across the nation.
Moviegoers seeing Waitress at one of these theaters on Mother's Day will receive a free gift bag filled with beauty products and, you guessed it, frozen pie. No word yet on whether theaters will offer to heat up the pies for a popcorn alternative during the flick.
The full details of the promotion are available at Moviewithmom.com.
Waitress has been garnering very strong reviews worldwide, currently a 91% on Rotten Tomatoes. Our own Heather Huntington is also a fan, scoring Waitress and 8 out of 10.
Next Showing: Waitress will be expanding this weekend.

The new indie drama Waitress arrives in theaters this week amidst rave reviews from critics across the country. Unfortunately, Waitress writer/director Adrienne Shelly never got a chance to enjoy the film's success, as she was murdered in her New York apartment last year.
In conjunction with the premiere of Waitress, The Adrienne Shelly Foundation, a non-profit organization dedicated to the memory of the slain writer/director/actor, has partnered with CharityFolks.com to auction one-of-a-kind aprons decorated, designed and autographed by stars such as Keri Russell, Cheryl Hines and more.
Check out ReelzChannel.com's Waitress page to read Heather Huntington's review of the movie and see her interviews with its stars.
Next Showing: Waitress opened on Weds, May 2 in select theaters.
