Us reports Lindsay Lohan turned down the role of "Jade the call girl" in The Hangover, saying the script, "had no potential."
For the record, The Hangover has grossed nearly $209M and is arguably the summer's biggest hit. (Of course, the part ended up going to Heather Graham, who needed career revitalization nearly as badly.)
This is the latest indignity suffered by Lohan. Her next movie, Labor Pains, is going straight to video on August 4th. And her most recent theatrical release, I Know Who Killed Me, forced some critics to gouge their own eyes out, with Slant's Rob Humanick saying, "criticizing it seems the equivalent of beating up special needs children."

A plethora of box office underperformers arrive on DVD this week, including Andy Samberg's feature film debut Hot Rod, Lindsay Lohan's stripper thriller I Know Who Killed Me, Rowan Atkinson's latest wacky misadventure, Mr. Bean's Holiday, the inspirational teenage comedy Bratz and the werewolves-vs.-werewolves horror flick Skinwalkers.
Our DVD pick for this week is Waitress, the sunny romantic comedy written and directed by the late Adrienne Shelly. Check out Heather's review here.

Like Homer, the nation just can't resist Spider Pigs. As predicted, The Simpsons Movie won the weekend handily, taking in $71.9 million dollars and undisputedly earning the place of biggest open for a TV adaptation.
I Now Pronounce You Chuck and Larry dropped to second and Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix dropped to third, taking in the substatially lower weekend gross of $19 million and $17 million respectively.
The other big weekend openings didn't fare nearly so well. No Reservations came in fifth, with $11.7 million, and the abysmal I Know Who Killed Me and critcally panned Who's Your Caddy opened at ninth and tenth, earning only $3.4 million and $2.9 million respectively.

In the wake of her DUI and drug possession arrest last night and subsequent return to rehab, questions about the future of Lindsay Lohan's movie projects abound.
The actress, whose drama I Know Who Killed Me opens Friday, has several films in the works. Despite recent reports in the New York Post, producers on the crime drama Poor Things, on which Lohan was signed to work with Shirley MacLaine, deny it has been cancelled.
Lohan--who has been seen around town taking tango lessons-was also expected to announce that she'd signed to star in Dare to Love Me later this week. Producers for that film say the deal is still on.
