When French photographer Marion (Julie Delpy) and her American boyfriend Jack (Adam Goldberg) take a stop-over in Paris to visit Marion's family, the couple's relationship is put to the test. Written and directed by Delpy (Before Sunrise, Before Sunset), 2 Days in Paris continues her fascination into the oddest of creatures--the neurotic Frenchwoman--this time buffeted by an equally neurotic New Yorker in Goldberg (Zodiac, Saving Private Ryan). There are funny jokes here and there, and of course Paris is lovely, but watching the two principals kvetch, moan, complain, obsess, and imagine illnesses for two hours gets quite tiring to say the least. My verdict? The world is barely big enough for one Woody Allen. Having several on each continent trying to date each other is more than I need.
