All good things must come to an end ... or so it seems.
For several months now, Twitter has been a top source for behind-the-scenes movie news, including plot and casting leaks. Unhappy with the trend, studios are inserting anti-Tweet clauses into many stars' contracts, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
A recent talent contract from Disney includes a new clause forbidding confidentiality breaches via "interactive media such as Facebook, Twitter, or any other interactive social network or personal blog."
Over at DreamWorks, a writer's deal cautions not to jump the gun on studio press releases via "a social networking site, blog or other Internet-type site."
Who will be among the first affected by the new contract language? The Telegraph is reporting that affected stars include Cameron Diaz and Mike Myers, due to film the Shrek follow-up next year for DreamWorks.
"The greatest fairy tale never told," indeed.

Next summer can be summed up simply: Sequels, remakes, comic book adaptations, and 3-D. Wait a minute, that's how we summed up Summer 2009! And Summer 2008, too (well, except the 3-D part).
While there might not be a whole lot new in the mix, here are the 20 titles we'll be talking about next summer.

Shrek is coming back, and he is even ready to tell us when. DreamWorks has slated the release date for Shrek 4-D as May 10, 2010.
So far, there are no other movies slated to open that weekend. And considering the green one's box office power, good luck to any ones that try to.
Mike Myers, Cameron Diaz and Eddie Murphy are all on board to reprise their roles.
