Roland Emmerich's prehistoric epic 10,000 B.C. overcame a critical drubbing to claim first place at the box office, earning a solid $35.7 million in its opening weekend. Coming in a distant second was the Martin Lawrence cross-country comedy College Road Trip at $15 million, followed by Vantage Point's $7.5 million tally. Rounding out the top five were the Will Ferrell comedy Semi-Pro and Jason Statham's heist flick The Bank Job, which grossed $5.9 million and $5.7 million, respectively.

Ironic Will Ferrell Sports Comedy™ Semi-Pro led a lackluster weekend at the box office with a modest $15.2 million tally, narrowly avoiding a potentially embarrassing defeat to action thriller Vantage Point, which earned $13 million in its second week of release. Javier Bardem received as much attention for his hairstyle in No Country for Old Men as he did for his Oscar-winning portrayal of ruthless hitman Anton Chigurh. Is it a coincidence that Woody Harrelson, who acted alongside Bardem in the Coen Brothers' classic, is wearing the exact same haircut in his new comedy Semi-Pro? Look at the pics and decide for yourself.
And don't forget to check out our exclusive interview with Woody Harrelson.

Last month Collider.com reported that A-Team director John Singleton, currently hard at work assembling the cast for his big screen update of the classic '80s TV series, had targeted Woody Harrelson as his ideal choice to play the team's eccentric pilot H.M. "Howling Mad" Murdock. We caught up with Harrelson over the weekend at the Semi-Pro press day to find out if he's up for it:
"I like John Singleton and the script's pretty good -- it's actually funny," said Harrelson. "It doesn't take itself too seriously. It's got quite a bit of good humor and quite a bit of excitement -- one of those fast-paced, edge-of-your seat kinds of rides."
"I haven't talked to John lately, but it might be good to work with him on that," he added.
Despite his fondness for The A-Team's script -- and for its director -- Harrelson has yet to commit. "I'm just really kinda going slow about making decisions and doing the next thing," said Harrelson. "I think I had a little period in my life where I'd say yes too easily to something or I'd get involved in something where I was like, 'Oh jeez, what am I doing?'"
We understand his reticence. Nobody wants another Starsky & Hutch.
