The Bedtime Stories star remained coy when speaking to us about the upcoming Justice League movie, citing that she couldn't "talk about it because it's not official yet." However, Palmer was more forthcoming with her native country's Herald Sun, telling them, "I was going to be playing a villain, which would be so exciting and totally different from anything I've done before. And with George Miller, an Aussie icon. Plus, I'm good friends with Megan [Gale], it would be so brilliant for her to be cast as Wonder Woman. Fingers crossed it will happen."
And we thought talking about the movie "wasn't allowed." Maybe next time we speak with Palmer, we'll break out the Australian accents.

The Aussie import -- who last year at this time was seen seducing Daniel Radcliffe (perhaps better known as Harry Potter) in December Boys -- stars alongside Adam Sandler in the holiday release Bedtime Stories. But Teresa Palmer nearly didn't get the part.
Her character "was originally written to be sort of that flighty, floozy kind of character," Palmer says. "You know, she likes to go into bars, and have fun with boys, and all that sort of stuff. But when I initially auditioned for it they said, 'You're not right for the part. You're not Paris Hilton enough.'"
But then Adam Sandler changed his mind. Find out why in our Interview with Teresa Palmer, in which we also try to get some details about her involvment in the upcoming Justice League.

They repeatedly withstood the challenges of Braniac, Lex Luthor andthe various other members of the evil Legion of Doom, but it appears that theJustice League of America's superheroes may have finally met their match in theform of a far more sinister group of super-villains: movie studio executives. AJustice League movie, reportedly featuring Batman, Superman, Wonder Woman, GreenArrow, Aquaman, Martian Manhunter and the Flash, was originally given the green lightby Warner Bros. back in September of 2007, but its prospects dimmed considerably with the onset of the WGA strike. It seems the knockout blow came recently with Christopher Nolan's game-changing The DarkKnight, which caused Warners to reevaluate all of its DC Comics-related projects.
"We're not off thenotion of a Justice League," Warners exec Jeffrey Robinov told Variety last Friday. "There's a massive interest and knowledge in the comic bookindustry and it takes time to sort of catch up and understand the charactersand the history, where they've intersected with each other and what theirworlds are."
"We're going tomake a Justice League movie, whether it's now or 10 years from now," DCComics exec Gregory Noveck added, perhaps a tad optimistically. "But we'renot going to do it and Warners is not going to do it until we know it'sright."
Don't look for a Justice League movie anytime soon. According to IESB, director George Miller has been pulled from the project to work on Green Lantern. Warnersprobably won't revisit the concept until Nolan is finished with theBatman franchise. Since Nolan's committed to at least one more Batman flick, thestudio will have to wait at least 3-5 years before it can resume butcheringDC's titles.
The real loser in all of this is clearly the much-maligned Aquaman, whose long-awaited shot at big screen immortality has once again been tabledindefinitely.

In the end, the greatest assemblage of superheroes on screen was no match for the Writer's Guild of America.
Warner Bros. mega-expensive Justice League of America has been officially grounded for now due to unresolved script issues coupled with problems receiving a much-needed tax break from the Australian Government for the shoot.
Warner Bros. promises the project will happen, although whether director George Miller and the young cast chosen to portray the super team are available when and if it does remains to be seen.

Rumors continue to swirl around the web for the casting of fan boy dream project, Justice League, which is being directed by George Miller (Mad Max) with a likely budget somewhere in the trillion dollar range (give or take a few dollars).
Today's rumor is around one of the biggest characters, the Man of Steel himself, Superman. To keep costs down, Miller appears to be opting for lesser known talents rather than
casting the actors who have played the parts recently or in the past. Word on the street today (according to Times Online) is that Rupert Evans, best known as the FBI agent from Hellboy, is being considered for the role.
This, of course, brings to question the idea of a Brit portraying the most iconic of American characters. But that's for the fan boys to fight over - we just report the stuff.
More on Justice League casting as we hear it...

Tinseltown is talking up a storm about the upcoming Justice League of America movie, and right now what everyone is wondering is just who is going to get to wield the Lasso of Truth?
Our friends at MTV reported the other day that Christina Milian (Eight Days a Week, Be Cool) is lobbying for the part, but there's lots of competition out there.
Check out this list at Slashfilm that details her competition for the coveted blue hotpants.

The Interweb is abuzz with rumors that Jessica Biel will be playing Wonder Woman in the Justice League of America movie that we reported about last week. Sites from People to Entertainment Weekly are all discussing whether or not Ms. Biel will be flying the invisible plane in the live action JLA movie that will be directed by George Miller.
In other news, MTV is reporting that The Rock is likely going to be starring in Shazam. The question is, will he be playing Shazam or Black Adam? Evidently, Mr. Johnson has been debating about this for some time now, and is asking his fans to help him decide. He is soliciting votes on the MTV Movies Blog, so have at it.

Thursday, September 20
As we reported last month, plans for the Justice League of America movie are actively moving forward.
Variety is reporting that Warner Bros. has just signed George Miller (Happy Feet, Babe: Pig in the City) to direct this DC Comics extravaganza, which will supposedly unite Batman, Superman, Wonder Woman, Aquaman and The Flash.
As it is unclear whether the actors who currently inhabit Superman and Batman's tights (Brandon Routh and Christian Bale, respectively) are even considering the project, a lot--like whether it will actually make it to production--is still up in the air.
That sound you're hearing is the fanboy community collectively creaming itself.

Ryan Reynolds (Smokin' Aces, Just Friends) may be the next Hollywood hottie to don tights and a cape. The actor told MTV yesterday that talks of him playing DC comics superhero the Flash are very much alive, contrary to popular belief.
According to Reynolds, the possibility of a Justice League of America movie is being batted around Hollywood, as is a Shawn Levy (Night at the Museum)-helmed Flash movie.
We'll let you know the minute we hear that pen has hit paper!
