Does this stoner sequel match the laughs of Harold and Kumar's 2004 trip to White Castle? We were at last night's first screening and caught fans' first reaction.
Next week we kick off ReelzChannel's Fan*tastic Summer when we'll be at the first showing of the much-hyped superhero movie Iron Man.

In the tradition of Cheech and Chong's Up in Smoke and Half Baked, Harold & Kumar Go to White Castle found a loyal audience of stoners back in 2004. The flick didn't really catch on until DVD (guess it's hard to get stoners out to the theater) but since has become a very quotable classic of the genre.
Now the duo of Kal Penn and John Cho (and of course Neil Patrick Harris as Neil Patrick Harris) return. This time, the stakes have been upped. Instead of just searching for some tasty White Castle burgers, the duo now have to escape from Guantanamo Bay. Our resident stoner movie officianado, Heather Huntington, has thefull Harold & Kumar Escape From Guantanamo Bay Review!

Perhaps the most unforgettable moment from 2004's Harold & Kumar Go to White Castle was the outrageous cameo from Neil Patrick Harris, who played a highly exaggerated version of himself in Danny Leiner's stoner comedy classic. The movie helped kick-start a career upswing for Harris, who soon afterward landed a role on the hit sitcom How I Met Your Mother; this week he revisits the part that rescued him from Doogie Howser obscurity in the much-anticipated sequel Harold & Kumar: Escape from Guantanamo Bay.
Check out our exclusive interview with Neil Patrick Harris.

Yes, we know Harold & Kumar Escape from Guantanamo Bay isn't even in theaters yet, but when we talked to writer-directors Jon Hurwitz and Hayden Schlossberg about their plans for its DVD release, the details were just too good to keep to ourselves.
"The DVD is crazy. Not only does it have the regular version of the movie, it has an unrated version of the movie which we actually take to heart," says Hurwitz.
"One of the best features, there's a choose-your-own-adventure type feature where at you can at different points in the movie [you can] have the characters change what they want to do," Schlossberg divulged. "One of the first ones on the DVD is when they're on the airplane in the beginning--should Kumar put the bong away? And just not do this, not smoke on the plane? And what happens if he doesn't do it, if you choose that you see them actually get to Amsterdam. We shot this movie basically of them in Amsterdam."
Added Hurwitz: "That whole feature is called 'Dude, Change the Movie.' And there are like 10 different spots in the film."
