Local Color

A wonderful film! From the powerhouse acting of Armin Mueller-Stahl, Trevor Morgan and Samantha Mathis (not to mention a surprising turn by Ron Perlman) to the beautiful cinematography and score, this gem of a film just leaves you feeling good. The story centers around the relationship between an aspiring artist John Talia and his mentor Nicoli Seroff, and their summer spent teaching each other about art and life. The film is funny and heartfelt, and I haven't seen a mentorship story of this caliber in a long time. I highly recommend this film.
