Unintentional drama has found its way to the set of Nailed, the comedy cowritten by Kristin Gore and David O. Russell about a small-town girl who becomes a nympho when she gets a nail stuck in her head.
The independent comedy first ran into trouble a few weeks ago when James Caan dropped out over creative differences with the notoriously tempestuous Russell, who is also directing. However, the current round of issues are financial. Not only are there rumblings about unpaid bills with the stagehands' and Teamsters' unions, but SAG has actually shut down production by ordering stars Jessica Biel and Jake Gyllenhaal off set due to insufficient funds.
We're hoping Russell can resolve the financial fall out and get the cameras rolilng again because this movie does sound like a funny one.
