That's the word on the street. Despiteoverwhelmingly positive early buzz (8 out of 10 from 223 users on IMDB), CliveBarker's Midnight Meat Train, directed by Ryuhei Kitamura, is going to bedifficult to find in theaters. Horror site Bloody-Disgusting.com is reportingthat Lionsgate is dumping the flick into second-run movie houses around thenation on August 1st, although a quick search on Fandango here in Los Angelesshows no theaters playing the movie in the immediate area.
The tactic Lionsgate is employing on this releaseis unclear, but Bloody-Disgusting is urging fans to write a letter to Lionsgatedemanding that they get the chance to experience Midnight Meat Train in aproper movie house. They are also offering an updated list of the random theaters playing the movie. Fans living in Provo, UT or Wichita, KS might just be in luck...
