Kate Hudson has plans to star in Big Eyes, a biopic about painter Margaret Keane, who became famous in the 1950s for her paintings of 'big-eyed' children. The film, which is ostensibly not a romantic comedy, will be the feature directing debut of writers Scott Alexander and Larry Karaszewski.
And Casey Affleck is attached to star in The Kind One, a noir flick set in 1930s Los Angeles about an amnesiac who falls in love with his mobster-boss's girlfriend. The Kind One will be adapted for the screen by Tom Epperson based on his just-published novel of the same name. Yes - that's right - Affleck is attached and there isn't even a script yet and there's a writers' strike on. Must be one good story.
