Street Kings, the gritty crime thriller starring Keanu Reeves and Forest Whitaker, comes to DVD and Blu-ray on August 19th. To celebrate the release, Fox Home Entertainment has struck up an unusual co-sponsorship with this summer's monster hip-hop festival "Rock the Bells."
Rock the Bells features a virtual who's-who of current and classic hip-hop including Nas, A Tribe Called Quest, De La Soul, Method Man, Redman, Raekwon, Ghostface, Dead Prez and a host of others.
The fest hits San Bernardino this Saturday, 8/9; San Francisco 8/16; Denver 8/23 and George, WA on 9/6.

Brittany Snow's critically maligned horror remake, Prom Night, tooks tops at the box office this weekend with an estimated $22.7 million. The weekend's other new wide release, the urban thriller Street Kings, hit second place with a $12 million take. 21 scored strong numbers for the third straight weekend to take third place with $11 million. This brings 21's total gross up to $62 million making it one of 2008's most successful films thus far. Rounding out the top five were Nim's Island with $9 mil and Leatherheads with $6.2.
