Welcome to ReelzChannel's real-time blog during Superbowl XLIII. As I sit in a comfy chair with my Chinese chicken salad and a can of Coke, country MILF Faith Hill is singing America the Beautiful, which is odd. Isn't it supposed to be the National Anth... Oh wait! Now Jennifer Hudson is doing the National Anthem ... with waaay too much trilling and vibrato. Can't anybody just sing the damn thing normally? That would be a refreshing change.
Now in the first commercial break, we get the G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra movie trailer -- which you can check out here because we already found it online. It is full of funtastic explosions and stuff.
The first movie trailer took place just prior to the players coming onto the field, it was an intriguing chick flick called Duplicity starring Clive Owen and Julia Roberts.
After the coin toss, I'll post some of the trailers that have already leaked onto the web.

Looks like lots of Hollywood players are getting the band back together today.
First, Meryl Streep and Nora Ephron will try to recreate their Heartburn magic in Julie & Julia, about a temp (Amy Adams) who tries to cook all of Julia Child's recipes from Mastering the Art of French Cooking in one year and blogs about it. Streep will step up the challenge of playing Julia Child. Ephron will adapt the screenplay and direct.
Julia Roberts and Clive Owen will reteam in Duplicity, a Tony Gilroy (Michael Clayton) written and directed drama about lovers/warring spies that team up for a con. Kind of sounds like Mr. and Mrs. Washington, no? Either way, Roberts and Owen previously starred opposite each other in 2004's Closer.
And much to the delight of frat boys everywhere, the Broken Lizard guys (Beerfest) are back at it again with a new comedy, The Slammin' Salmon, about an ex-boxing champ who makes his restaurant emmployees compete with each other. Broken Lizard member Kevin Heffernan will direct.
