With The Boy In The Striped Pajamas hitting theaters tomorrow, David Thewlis is on the interview circuit, talking about the challenges of playing a Nazi officer whose eight-year-old son befriends a young concentration camp prisoner. It's a far cry from his best-known role as Harry Potter's lycanthropic Professor Lupin. And in a recent interview with KTLA News, questions about why Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince was delayed and what it was like to work on the Potter films clearly took precedence. Thewlis explains that the delay in the movie's release was no conspiracy but really all about the success of The Dark Knight and talks about the awkwardness having to treat wands as if they're Kalashnikovs.
