Channing Tatum plays a lot of "tough guy" roles, but he couldn't have been nicer when asked about his G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra co-star Sienna Miller. After breakout performances in films such as Havoc (2005) and A Guide to Recognizing Your Saints (2006), Tatum has hit the big times with a starring role in April's Fighting and the upcoming effects-intensive comic book adaptation by producer Lorenzo di Bonaventura.
When asked about filming with a leather-clad Sienna Miller in a recent interview, Tatum said:
She's incredible. She looks incredible in the movie. She is incredible in the movie.
About Miller off-camera, Tatum said:
She's just the type of girl that when she ... once you're around her, you're just happy. You can't help but ... she makes everybody happy around her. And, she just has that intoxifying thing over the room that she kind of comes in and commands it...
G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra is directed by Stephen Sommers and also stars Rachel Nichols as Scarlett, Joseph Gordon-Levitt as Cobra Commander and Dennis Quaid as Hawk.

With Thor's opening day moved to 2011, director Kenneth Branagh can take his time with casting. While several actors have been rumored for the role, Fighting actor Channing Tatum has been officially removed from consideration. Tatum told MTV that, while he did meet with Branagh about the role, he is no longer a candidate. "I think they're looking for someone more Nordic-looking." Considering Thor is a Norse god, Tatum may be onto something.
Tatum had no further information on whether Branagh will cast Alexander Skarsgård or any of the other rumored actors currently testing for the role.

Debuting today on IGN is the new trailer for Fighting, starring Channing Tatum (one of our 'Breakout Stars of 2009' picks) as a small-town kid who finds fame and fortune in New York City's topsy-turvy world of underground MMA fighting. Kudos to Rogue for choosing such a straightforward title for this flick. If only all movie titles could be so self-explanatory. We could have been saved a lot of confusion if Quantum of Solace had simply been called Brooding and Shooting.
