With the release of the New Moon movie imminent, Stephenie Meyer answered fan questions on her official site, and touched on the question of a Breaking Dawn movie.
On the possibility of a fourth movie she said, "At this point in time, we're in talks. I would love to see BD made if it could be made well. It's a little bit trickier than the others." A "little bit trickier" is an understatement, Mrs. Meyer — surely "almost impossible" would be a better term to use?
With accelerated growth children who kill their mothers, no action, and a plot slower than The Order of the Phoenix, Breaking Dawn could very easily be the end of Meyer's reign of success. We'll have to wait and see if Summit officially announces the movie after New Moon's guaranteed success — after all, Twilight fans are going to need something to keep them going until the Eclipse release in June.
And who knows, maybe a re-worked movie could help the cause. For our thoughts, see Breaking Dawn: Will the Movie Beat the Book?

BooBoo Stewart, the young actor behind Seth Clearwater's character in Eclipse, spoke to Access Hollywood about all things Twilight.
When asked about a Breaking Dawn movie, he said "I also heard there are gonna be three more movies. There's gonna be Eclipse, Breaking Dawn, and there should be one more. Maybe."
Could this mean Breaking Dawn will be split into two movies, as previously suggested by author Stephenie Meyer? Or will it be something else entirely — unfinished Twilight companion Midnight Sun, perhaps? We can't think of a more popular movie than two whole hours of Robert Pattinson, and we bet the fans can't either.

Stephenie Meyer, the author of The Twilight Saga, was accused yesterday of plagiarizing certain scenes from the fourth book in the saga, Breaking Dawn. Jordan Scott, a young, unknown author, is claiming Meyer plagiarized from her 2006 release The Nocturne.
Meyers' publishers, Hachette Book Group, received a cease-and-desist letter outlining the stolen scenes, which highlighted a wedding, a romantic scene on a beach, a vampire transformation description, and a main character's death as the scenes in question. All claims have been refuted from Meyer's side, with Scott intent on filing a copyright infringement lawsuit.
Considering Meyer wrote her original Breaking Dawn outline — under the title Forever Dawn — back in 2006, it seems highly unlikely that she would have had the time to run around stealing a then-teenager's novel. We think it could be a not-so-clever publicity stunt on behalf of Scott, and is one that could have more negative ramifications than she originally thought. Lets just hope it doesn't affect the Breaking Dawn movie in any way — we'd hate for there to be a delay on that masterpiece in waiting.

Christopher Heyerdahl, the actor behind New Moon's Volturi vampire Marcus, spoke to Sci Fi Wire about New Moon, vampires, and the upcoming sequels. On character Marcus, Heyerdahl had nothing but good things to say:
He's one of the oldest vampires on the planet, and who doesn't want toplay a 3,000-year-old vampire? The cast that I get to work with, like Michael Sheen.... We had so much fun goofing off together. It was an absolute hoot. Director Chris Weitz's version for this piece is like a Renaissance painting. The images were absolutely beautiful, and the character is such a tragic old fellow.
When asked about Breaking Dawn, the fourth and final installment in The Twilight Saga, he said:
I have left that book alone. I want to leave it until we get closer to the movie. I was talking to Stephenie about it, and she asked if I had read the final book. I said, "Nope, I don't want to read it yet. I want to leave it alone until we get there." ...I do know generally what happens, since it is impossible not to find out. And, yes, I've been contracted for the final chapter.
Twilight fans can breathe a collective sigh of relief, as this is yet more confirmation that a Breaking Dawn movie is on Summit's upcoming schedule. And with Stephenie Meyer still very much involved, how could it possibly go wrong? Let us count the ways.

According to PerezHilton.com, The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn is slated to start production when filming for the third movie wraps. This news comes from an interview with Alice actress Ashley Greene, in which she said "We're going to start right after Eclipse."
With Eclipse due for release in June 2010, we could well see Breaking Dawn before the end of Summer 2011. Talk about cashing in on the saga's success — Summit is rolling these movies out faster than the books sold on release day.

Due to circumstances beyond our control, the voting for our TwiCon Fan Correspondent has been down for most of the day. The problem originates with our poll vendor. Here's what they're reporting:
A fire occurred at Fisher Plaza in downtown Seattle just after midnight on Friday morning. The blown transformer knocked out power to the entire building, which is home to the our servers. We're hard at work to restore service following this unexpected event.
Our current estimate for re-establishing functionality is 5pm PST, July 3rd.
So, we're hopeful that voting will be up and running soon. The good news is that you have until July 17 to cast at least one vote for your favorite.
