Twilight stars Nikki Reed and Kristen Stewart can next be seen playing men in upcoming movie K-11. Said Reed, "K-11 is where they basically put people who wouldn't survive in the general population [in prison]. I'm playing a man who has become a woman.... I was born a man, but I never felt like a man -- I always knew that I was a woman. I just was born with the wrong body parts."
K-11 will shoot during a break between New Moon and Eclipse, and it's written and directed by Stewart's mom, Jules Mann-Stewart. It also stars Jason Mewes. No points for guessing how Stewart and best pal Reed ended up with starring roles. Hmmmm ... maybe they're hoping to give Robert Pattinson's controversial role in Little Ashes a run for its money.

Don't be jealous of Twilight's Nikki Reed as she traipses around Vancouver with Taylor Lautner and Kristen Stewart preparing to shoot New Moon. It's not easy being (playing) Rosalie Hale. It's hard, very hard. Reed tells MTV that it was excruciating to get her hair blond for the first film. "My hair fell out," she says. "It took 36 hours initially to make me blond, and every other day, I was bleaching my head and my skin."
For New Moon, Reed won't be bleaching (and possibly balding) again. "This time around, we are testing out different wigs and stuff," she says, as part of a larger extreme makeover (and bigger budget) plan by director Chris Weitz. "The goal is for something better, just better, all around better," she says of Weitz's plans, not exactly sounding like the biggest Catherine Hardwicke supporter.
Reed has other reasons (not just possible balding and dark roots), for not wanting to bleach this time. She's hoping to squeeze in shooting a non-Twilight flick, K-11 (also with Kristen Stewart), in between New Moon and Eclipse.
