As the death penalty debate rages on in America and the Supreme Court reviews lethal injection, the new documentary At Death House Door by Steve James and Peter Gilbert couldn't come at a more poignant time.
The story revolves around Reverend Carol Pickett and the 15 years he spent as chaplain at the famous "Walls" penitentiary in Huntsville, TX. Pickett's story is juxtaposed with that of Carlos De Luna, who was executed while Pickett served at the "Walls" and was recently the subject of an article by the Chicago Tribune that put his guilt into serious doubt.
ReelzChannel.com did an exclusive interview with filmmakers Peter Gilbert and Steve James recently in Dallas, TX and you can check out the full Death House Door interview right here.
At Death House Door premieres tonight on IFC at 9 PM ET.
