Kenneth Branagh has added two more names to his growing Thor cast. According to The Hollywood Reporter, Jaimie Alexander and Colm Feore are joining the comic book adaptation, alongside Chris Hemsworth as Thor, Tom Hiddleston as Thor's half-brother and arch-nemesis Loki, Brian Blessed as Thor and Loki's father Odin, and Natalie Portman as Thor's human love interest Jane Foster.
Alexander, best known for her work on ABC Family's Kyle XY, will play Sif, an Asgardian warrior and one of Thor's love interests. Feore, seen recently on 24 and not-so-recently in The Chronicles of Riddick, is playing an unspecified character, though it is believed that he will play a villain. Perhaps even Feore doesn't know the character, since neither he nor Alexander are being sent a script.
Thor, which opens May 20, 2011, follows the superhero as he is cast from his home world of Asgard to Earth when his reckless behavior re-ignites an ancient war. Once on Earth, he must learn the true meaning of a hero as he fights the dark forces of Asgard that have invaded his new planet.
