• Sequels Galore for Wanted

  If you wished for more Wanted right after seeing it, like many probably did, you’ll end up getting exactly what you wanted. After the huge box-office success it turned out to be, the next two installments of the story are already in the works. Cinema Blend is reporting that Wanted will be made into a trilogy and that James McAvoy and Terence Stamp are both in on the projects. McAvoy’s character will likely end up fighting more corrupt fraternity weavers all over the world and Angelina Jolie may possibly be back for a second go, we'll have to wait and see how they'll work that out. Either way there is a lot more blood soaked, high-octane action on the horizon for fans of Wanted.

  The official website for Wanted, the trippy new action flick directed by Timur Bekmambetov (Night Watch, Day Watch) and based on Mark Millar's acclaimed graphic novel, is up and running. Head over to www.wantedmovie.com for assorted goodies from the film, including widgets, buddy icons, desktop skins and new pics of stars Angelina Jolie and James McAvoy in action. And for adult visitors, there's an R-rated "Restricted" section filled with plenty of naughty bits.

• New pix of Angelina Jolie

  Angelina Jolie was out promoting her movie, A Mighty Heart, last weekend at a small Q&A in Hollywood. And we've got some snapshots.

  Although the movie came out last spring, Jolie is widely expected to be a contender for Best Actress thanks for her portrayal of Mariane Pearl--wife of slain journalist Daniel Pearl--in it.

  Universal just released some images and a trailer for Wanted, Timur Bekmambetov's (Night Watch, Day Watch) adaptation of Mark Millar's acclaimed graphic novel. While the film's visuals are certainly appealing (especially when Angelina Jolie is in the frame), fanboys everywhere are wondering if Bekmambetov's departures from Wanted's original canon have rendered the story too Matrix-like. • Newz of the Jolie

  Awards Daily is reporting that Angelina Jolie is going to be honored by the Santa Barbara Film Festival with their Outstanding Performance of the Year award for her work in A Mighty Heart. Will this accolade strengthen her chances for the Oscar nod? Only time will tell.

  In the meantime, Jolie is setting to work on The Changeling, a true life drama about a woman in 1920s LA who is committed to an asylum and then takes down the corrupt LA politcal system after the police return the wrong child, claiming they have found her missing son.

  She will be joined by John Malkovich and Amy Ryan, who is currently getting a lot of buzz for her performance in Gone, Baby, Gone. Clint Eastwood will direct.

• Silvestri gives update on Wanted

  In an exclusive video interview with ReelzChannel.com at Comic-Con, Top Cow Productions founder Marc Silvestri gave us an update on the status of Wanted, the much-anticipated adaptation of Mark Millar's acclaimed graphic novel, which has been called the "Watchmen of super-villains."

  In between autograph sessions at the Top Cow booth, Silvestri, who is exec producing the film, talked about director Timur Bekmambetov's (Night Watch, Day Watch) visual style, the film's likely rating (R versus PG-13) and potential sequel prospects.

• A world without Angelina

  According to news from MSN, Angelina Jolie is planning on taking a break from movies for a little while.

  The actress, who has been jetsetting around recently--filming the thriller Wanted in Prague (with James McAvoy and Morgan Freeman) and glamming it up at the Cannes Film Festival--plans on taking a year off to spend with her family after she finishes up her pending filming commitments.

  Jolie can next be seen in A Mighty Heart, a drama in which she plays Marianne Pearl, the wife of slain journalist Daniel Pearl.
