  • New Set Pictures from The Twilight Saga: Eclipse

Eclipse newbornsNew pictures from the set of Eclipse have surfaced, including Carlisle and the wolves and Robert Pattinson, Ashley Greene, and Peter Facinelli on set. Of all the cast, Facinelli could easily pass for a real-life vampire, just look at his pale complexion and platinum blond hair — does he remind you of anyone from vampire TV shows past?

In addition to these new images, the Examiner also has a report round-up from last week's filming. Fan-favorite highlights from the fifth week of Eclipse include director David Slade's tweet about a Bella-Jacob kiss on a mountain, and images of some creepy newborn vampires submerged in water.

Do you think David Slade looks like he's doing a good job bringing the epic, romance-fueled movie to the big screen? Let us know your thoughts in the comments.

  • Peter Facinelli Talks The Twilight Saga: Eclipse

Peter FacinelliFresh from last week's TwiCon, New Moon star Peter Facinelli spoke to OK! magazine about the third movie in the franchise, Eclipse.

According to Mr Carlisle Cullen himself, two week-long Eclipse rehearsals are due to start tomorrow, followed by a week of fight training. He also talked about the action in the movie and the three month filming schedule ahead of him. When asked about the close-knit cast, now minus one key player, he said, "We're really like a family on and off set. I love each and every one of them like they are one of my kids. I'm looking forward to reuniting with them all."

We're glad to hear that Eclipse is going to focus on more of the book's vampire/werewolf action. With a newborn undead army intent on causing havoc for the Cullens, things have never looked so bad in Forks — thank goodness Jacob and Co. leap (literally) to the rescue.

  • TwiCon News: Cast Q&A Session Draws 2,500+ Fans
Huge audience at TwiCon Cast Q&A session

It's a good thing the ballroom at the Sheraton Dallas is rather large. Even so, space was tight for the more than 2,500 fans who lined up to see and hear Kellan Lutz, Peter Facinelli, Billy Burke, Christian Serratos, Jackson Rathbone, and newcomer to the franchise, Alex Meraz.

Deafening applause filled much of the 40-minute Q&A session, during which the cast took pre-written questions from the fans. A definite highlight was when Burke made paper planes with handwritten notes and threw them into the audience. But what really made fans go wild was Facinelli running down the ballroom aisle to hand deliver one of the planes to an incredibly lucky fan.

Things got a little saucy when Meraz received a request to "take off his shirt" from a fan who's clearly spent some time gazing at the wolf pack's publicity shot, which has several six-packs on display. When asked how he prepared for his role as Paul, Meraz answered "by working out and eating lots of steak."

Serratos talked about how she likes Vancouver, filming location of the just-shot The Twilight Saga: New Moon and the soon-to-start Eclipse. She also mentioned how much she enjoyed working with director Chris Weitz.

When asked what Jasper would name his band if he were a musician, Rathbone promptly responded, "The Ungrateful Dead or 100 Vampires."

Facinelli differentiated his doctor characters in Twilight and Nurse Jackie by saying Dr. Carlisle Cullen is as cool as ice and is the pillar of his family, while Dr. "Coop" is a catastrophe and in constant chaos.

  • Exclusive Interview with Peter Facinelli at Twitter Event

    Naibe Reynoso

Naibe Reynoso is a correspondent for ReelzChannel TV's Movie News, and occasionally shares stories from the field.

As previously reported, even though Peter Facinelli won his Twitter challenge with Rob DeFranco, he decided to give up his Twilight chair. And he used the event to benefit his favorite charities, which received $10,000 from Affliction, the clothing store where the event was held.

I was there June 30th on Melrose Ave in Los Angeles to see Facinelli bestow the chair to one lucky fan who follows him on Twitter, and to witness the losing DeFranco dance down Hollywood Boulevard in a bikini singing "Single Ladies."

Fans came from as far away as Denver for the event, which included a signing. "The line outside was unbelievably humbling to me," said Facinneli, "and I appreciate each one of them." Humble and charitable — he more than lives up to Carlisle Cullen's reputation, I'd say!

  • The Cullens at Bat: Vampire Baseball This Weekend with The Twight Saga: New Moon Cast

Vampire Baseball on the 4th of JulyTurns out Carlise Cullen isn't the only vampire with a compassionate streak. This 4th of July, in a benefit for the Make-A-Wish foundation of Oregon, some of the Twilight and New Moon cast members are taking part in a day of Vampire Baseball.

The Portland event starts with a fans game in the morning. Some of the winners from that game will then face off with cast in the afternoon, playing a game in front of stands filled with Twilighters. A percentage of ticket sales from the event benefit the charity that grants the wishes of children with life-threatening medical conditions.

If you can't make it to the event — scheduled to have Rachelle Lefevre, Peter Facinelli, Edi Gathegi, Michael Welch, Solomon Trimble, Christian Serratos, Ayanna Berkshire, Catherine Grimme, Alex Meraz, and Kiowa Gordon at bat — don't worry. We're going to be there to report on it and will have footage to share in coming weeks.

And yes, you read that right. Even the evil Victoria is choosing to spend her holiday helping kids.

  • Interview with The Twilight Saga: New Moon's Peter Facinelli

Last week, we brought you news of Peter Facinelli's Twitter challenge with Rob DeFranco. We're happy to let you know that he got the 500,000 followers he needed, keeping his Twilight chair from falling into DeFranco's hands. But better yet, Facinelli has decided to give the chair to one of his followers. And for his part, DeFranco now has to dance down Hollywood Boulevard in a bikini singing "Single Ladies" on June 30, 2009.

We also now have Naibe Reynoso's full intervew with Facinelli available online, with details about Drs. Cullen and Cooper and Facinelli's other upcoming projects.

  • Help Peter Facinelli Keep His Twilight Chair

    Naibe Reynoso

Naibe Reynoso is a correspondent for ReelzChannel TV's Movie News, and occasionally shares stories from the field.

Peter Facinelli, me, and iced tea. It has a nice ring to it. We squeezed into a booth at "The Grill" on Hollywood and Highland. It was a date of sorts (a girl can dream, right?) — a TV date set up by my producers to talk about New Moon and Nurse Jackie, his Showtime series.

While he plays a doctor in both, Dr. Fitch Cooper is darker than Twilight's Carlisle Cullen. And not just his hair and skin. Dr. Cooper suffers from manic highs and lows, and has a nervous tic of touching women inappropriately.

Peter Facinelli with Naibe ReynosoToo bad it's not a real tic because I was sitting only a few inches away during our 45-minute chat.... But I digress.

My interview with Facinelli — in which he talks about differences between New Moon and Twilight, as well as his wife Jennie Garth (sniff, sniff) and their three daughters — will be online later this week.

But I wanted to alert Twilight fans now: Facinelli has a bet going with his friend Rob (DeFranco, not Pattinson). He needs 500,000 Twitter followers by the end of the day on Friday, June 19, or he loses his Twilight set chair to DeFranco.

We can't let that happen. Start the following, Twi-Hards!

  • New New Moon Movie Stills

The Twilight Saga's New Moon PosterAs if the first trailer wasn't enough to excite fans of New Moon, today three new movie stills have surfaced online. Depicting a very wet Jacob (note the Quileute tattoo on his arm), Carlisle and Bella at Bella's doomed birthday party, and Bella and Edward in the midst of breaking up, these HQ images are the icing on an already fangtastic cake.

We're glad to see that Jacob's tattoo -- the wolves' equivalent to the Cullen crest -- is looking realistic, and fans can breathe a sigh of relief to see that, yes, Bella has what looks to be a nasty, bloody cut on her right arm. There's just one thing missing ... where's all the broken glass?

  • Peter Facinelli Completes New Moon Filming

Peter FacinelliTwilight dad Peter Facinelli has now finished filming his New Moon scenes and, in a recent interview with Access Hollywood, had nothing but good things to say about the cast and crew.

Of director Chris Weitz, Facinelli said he's a "calming force" who is "very Zen-like." He also spoke about the first scene of the movie, Bella's 18th birthday party, and said Jackson Rathbone (Jasper) does "a fantastic job, 'cause he just really went for it.'" It sounds like things are going well over at the New Moon set, and with a trip to Italy next on the agenda, the movie seems well on its way to completion.

On a side note, is Peter Facinelli now sharing a wardrobe with co-star Robert Pattinson? Talk about a father-son bond -- we could hardly tell the difference.

  • Party Time for New Moon

The Twilight Saga's New MoonRumor has it filming of New Moon's Cullen-house scenes wrapped yesterday, ending with what looks like Bella's birthday party.

Peter Facinelli (Carlisle), Nikki Reed (Rosalie), Jackson Rathbone (Jasper), Kristen Stewart (Bella) , and Robert Pattinson (Edward) were all spotted wearing birthday party attire, in order to film what is one of the most important scenes in the book -- the scene where everything goes wrong.

We're happy to see that Reed's blonde wig looks more realistic than previous efforts, and this time we hope Rosalie's hair will stop changing in every scene (Twilight, anyone?). Even she isn't clever enough to change her hair whilst running from a murderous vampire. Continuity, people. It's important.
