It's a big day for Hollywood's leading ladies, with news of awards and secret roles swarming around tinsel town.
MTV just broke the scoop that Hilary Swank will be appearing in the much-buzzed-about Iron Man. The Academy Award winner will have a cameo alongside Samuel L. Jackson, who will be appearing in scenes that may foreshadow a Nick Fury movie.
MTV speculates that this news could mean Swank might turn out to be a S.H.I.E.L.D. agent next to Jackson in said potential Nick Fury movie. Or that she might have her own superhero starrer in the works
In other news, Julia Roberts will join Steven Spielberg, Martin Scorsese, Tom Cruise, and Nicole Kidman as an American Cinematheque honoree, says Variety.
Also an Academy Award winner, the mom of three will be presented with her American Cinematheque award in October at a tribute gala held at the Beverly Hilton. The ceremony will be broadcast on AMC in December.
