Jessica Biel has signed to star in Die a Little, a crime thriller based on Megan Abbott's novel about a mysterious woman who upends the lives of an LA teacher and her police detective brother. Although the novel is set in the 1950s, the movie will be transposed to modern times. Richard Gladstein (Finding Neverland, The Nanny Diaries) will coproduce with Biel.
And Goran Visnjic, the sexy Croatian actor best known as Dr. Luca Kovac on ER, will be joining Ashley Judd in Helen, writer/director Sandra Nettelbeck's English-language debut. It is about 'a woman who gives the illusion of leading a perfect life, but actually harbors a dark secret.' We have no idea what that means, but if Visnjic is in it, we're on board. Yummy.
