• Forbes Lists Angelina Jolie and Jennifer Aniston as Top Female Moneymakers in Hollywood

  

  According to The Hollywood Reporter, Forbes announced Angelina Jolie and Jennifer Aniston as the biggest female moneymakers in Hollywood this past year. Many people are, of course, already taking note of the Brad Pitt connection. From June 2008 to June 2009 Jolie pulled in $27 million, while Aniston earned $25 million.

  Jolie's big paycheck comes courtesy of Wanted, which grossed $341 million worldwide, and an advance for her role as a CIA agent in Phillip Noyce's upcoming Salt. Aniston's money comes from box-office winner Marley & Me, as well as her role in SmartWater commercials. She also received an advance for The Baster, where she will star alongside Juliette Lewis, Jason Bateman, and Jeff Goldblum.

  Completing the top 10 are Meryl Streep, Sarah Jessica Parker, Cameron Diaz, Sandra Bullock, Reese Witherspoon, Nicole Kidman, Drew Barrymore, and Renée Zellweger.

  THR also noted that the $183 million earned by the Top 10 women falls well short of the $393 million taken in by the Top 10 men. Harrison Ford topped that list with $65 million.

• Interview with New in Town Star Renee Zellweger

  Renee Zellweger plays a high-powered Miami executive sent to restructure a Minnesota-based manufacturing plant in the slapstick comedy New in Town. "I read this script and I laughed out loud imagining the ridiculous situations that this character finds herself in," Zellweger said. "I loved how rigid she was, and I find it so funny when the perfectionist fails."

  Zellweger clearly wasn't kidding about the ridiculous situations. Her character finds herself crow hunting with Harry Connick, Jr. and in a "no-holds-barred pudding-fight scene." Find out more in our interview with Renee Zellweger.

• Casting news: Zellweger, Tomei and Wilson (oh my)

  Renee Zellweger will likely be starring in the comedy, My One and Only, based on the unusual childhood of uber-tan actor George Hamilton, in which his mother went on search of a wealthy man to supprt her and her sons. Charlie Peters (3 Men and a Little Lady) wrote the script. Richard Loncraine (Firewall, Wimbledon) will direct.

  Marisa Tomei will star as a stripper opposite Mickey Rourke in The Wrestler, Darren Aronofsky's new drama about an over-the-hill '80s wrestler (Rourke). Tomei was recently seen looking fabulous in Sidney Lumet's Before the Devil Knows You're Dead.

  And Patrick Wilson (the hottie dad in Little Children) has signed to star in Barry Munday, a romantic comedy about a philanderer who is named in a paternity suit. The movie is based on the Frank Turner Holton's novel, Life in a Strange Place.
