  • Adam Brody Talks Justice League

Justice LeagueSupposedly, a Justice League movie is going to be made, eventually. The O.C.'s Adam Brody was set to play Barry Allen, a.k.a. The Flash, in George Miller's adaptation of the famous superhero team. Brody flew all the way to Australia, Miller's home country and the movie's filming location, when everything fell apart. It wasn't totally unexpected, especially with Armie Hammer cast as Batman. Brody told Movieline:

We were in Australia, so we were halfway there, but sets hadn't been built yet, things still felt on the fence. So it wasn't a big shock to me when it didn't go. Before it, even, I totally understood the reasons for doing it and not doing it. I got both sides. At the time, I was like, "If [Warner Bros. doesn't] want to do this and they don't want to mess with Batman, their golden goose, then I totally get that and that's probably the right call."

That said, cut to this summer, and it would probably be coming out this week. I'm like, [groans]. That'd be so exciting. I probably miss it more now than I did then. I'm curious: Armie Hammer, who's like the real-life Bruce Wayne, if he would have played Batman, would that have gotten in the way of Christian Bale's [performance]? I don't know. Would it have diluted Batman 3 a little? Not sure.

As for his own character, Brody claims he did get to try on a Flash costume:

I had it on, but it was only kind of halfway there, you know? It was a preliminary version. There's some pictures somewhere of me making funny poses in a half-done Flash outfit.

Brody remains positive about Justice League, calling it "a totally positive experience," even if he does wish it could have been made:

After seeing the movies this summer, it could have been great. [Screenwriters Kieran and Michele] Mulroney did a really good job, and George Miller — I was so curious. I think everybody couldn't wait to see what he was gonna do.

Brody may yet get his chance. Actress Teresa Palmer (Bedtime Stories), who was cast as villain Talia Al Ghul — the daughter of Liam Neeson's character from Batman Begins — is still attached to the movie as of last month.

While he waits to see if Justice League will ever get off the ground, Brody has kept busy shooting Kevin Smith's A Couple of Dicks and Jennifer's Body, the horror comedy starring Megan Fox that opens September 19.

  • Teresa Palmer Finally Talks Justice League

Teresa PalmerThe Bedtime Stories star remained coy when speaking to us about the upcoming Justice League movie, citing that she couldn't "talk about it because it's not official yet." However, Palmer was more forthcoming with her native country's Herald Sun, telling them, "I was going to be playing a villain, which would be so exciting and totally different from anything I've done before. And with George Miller, an Aussie icon. Plus, I'm good friends with Megan [Gale], it would be so brilliant for her to be cast as Wonder Woman. Fingers crossed it will happen."

And we thought talking about the movie "wasn't allowed." Maybe next time we speak with Palmer, we'll break out the Australian accents.

  • Teresa Palmer Is Not Paris Hilton

Teresa PalmerThe Aussie import -- who last year at this time was seen seducing Daniel Radcliffe (perhaps better known as Harry Potter) in December Boys -- stars alongside Adam Sandler in the holiday release Bedtime Stories. But Teresa Palmer nearly didn't get the part.

Her character "was originally written to be sort of that flighty, floozy kind of character," Palmer says. "You know, she likes to go into bars, and have fun with boys, and all that sort of stuff. But when I initially auditioned for it they said, 'You're not right for the part. You're not Paris Hilton enough.'"

But then Adam Sandler changed his mind. Find out why in our Interview with Teresa Palmer, in which we also try to get some details about her involvment in the upcoming Justice League.

  • The girl who took Harry Potter's virginity

Palmer and Radcliffe in December BoysWhile Daniel Radcliffe attempts to broaden his horizons, a certain besbectacled wizard follows closely behind. Just as Peter Shaffer's Equus is commonly referred to as "the play in which Harry Potter shows his schlong," Rod Hardy's new flick December Boys will likely be remembered by many as "the movie in which Harry Potter gets laid." Such is the inevitable consequence of playing one of the most beloved characters in recent cinematic history.

At last week's press day for December Boys, co-star Teresa Palmer reflected on popping Radcliffe's (on-screen) cherry.

"It was very interesting to film," she remarked, referring to the much talked-about scene in which her character seduces Radcliffe's. "It's always very awkward doing a scene like that, but it's probably my favorite scene in the film."

And how does she rate his performance? "Well, I think there's a lot of envious Harry Potter fans out there," she joked. "He's so charming and so sweet, especially in the intimate scenes between the two of us where he was so vulnerable and nervous and awkward. It was really beautiful to watch."

  • "Wanna see my magic wand?" line not working too well for Potter

Radcliffe in December BoysApparently, being the star of one of the most popular movie franchises of all time isn't all it's cracked up to be. At least not for Daniel Radcliffe. In an interview to promote his new movie December Boys, the Harry Potter star revealed that his celebrity status has hasn't necessarily made him more successful with the ladies:

"They're very disappointed when they meet me," the 18-year-old lamented. "When you're an actor, everyone assumes that you're gonna be effortlessly cool in real life, and that you dress the way you do for premieres all the time. So when they meet all five-foot-five of me in jeans in a t-shirt, I think they're less than impressed."

Radcliffe's character in December Boys fares much better, getting some quality time -- including Radcliffe's first on-screen kiss --with Teresa Palmer (The Grudge 2, Kids in America).

Next Showing: December Boys opens in select theaters on September 14th.
