For her next project, Helen Mirren (The Queen) will be going a little further than Buckingham Palace.
The Oscar-winning actress will be playing a Jewish woman whose journalist daughter is shot and killed in Gaza after falling in love with a Palestinian man.
According to Variety, the as-yet-untitled project, which will be directed by Philip Martin, was originally supposed to shoot on location in Gaza. However, due to the current instability in the region, they are probably going to move the shoot to nearby Jordan where several movies have been filmed of late. No other details on the project were available at this time.
Having spent some time in the Middle East myself, allow me to say to Ms. Mirren, do try the felafel. I highly recommend it.
