Something's rotten in the state of Arizona. Shakespeare fans who've waited over four centuries for a follow-up to The Bard's finest work will finally get their wish this August -- courtesy of
Hamlet 2, a new comedy from director
Andrew Fleming (
Threesome,
Dick). The film, which premiered at this year's Sundance Film Festival, stars
Steve Coogan (
Night at the Museum,
Tropic Thunder) as a painfully inept Tuscon, AZ high school drama teacher who attempts to inspire his apathetic students by penning an ill-conceived musical sequel to
Hamlet.
Amy Poehler (
Baby Mama),
Catherine Keener (
The 40-Year-Old Virgin) and
David Arquette (Mr. Courteney Cox) also star.
