Years ago, as the First Boy Band Era ebbed and gangsta rap reigned supreme, The New Kids on the Block attempted to change their teenybopper image by shortening their name to NKOTB. The effort failed, of course, and the one-time chart-toppers soon faded into obscurity.
This week, the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles are employing a similar strategy with TMNT. Can TMNT succeed where NKOTB failed? We'll find out this weekend if the turtles have the right stuff.
