The beloved and irreverent comedian, George Carlin, died yesterday of heart failure.
Best known for groundbreaking comedy routines such as "Seven Words You Can Never Say on Television," Carlin also did his fair share of acting, lending his voice to animated movies such as Happily N'Ever After and Cars, and appearing in Kevin Smith movies such as Jersey Girl and Dogma.
Carlin entered St. John's Health Center in Sant Monica, CA yesterday complaining of chest pain and died there last night. He had a significant history of heart trouble.
He will be missed.
