  • Harrison Ford Says Indiana Jones 5 Coming Together

Harrison Ford confirms Indiana Jones 5Fox News reported that the French publication Le Figaro spoke recently with Harrison Ford, who confirmed that preparations are underway for a fifth installment of the Indiana Jones franchise.

The story for the new Indiana Jones is in the process of taking form. Steven Spielberg, George Lucas and myself are agreed on what the fifth adventure will concern, and George is actively at work. If the script is good, I'll be very happy to put the costume on again.

No other details yet, although we know that Shia LaBeouf will return as Indy's son, Mutt.

  • Harrison Ford Has Dual Role in CBS Films' First Project

Harrison FordHarrison Ford will star in and executive produce the first movie from CBS Films.

The movie -- which is scheduled for release in April 2010 -- is inspired by the true story of John and Aileen Crowley, whose two children were diagnosed with a rare genetic disorder in 1998 and given only a few years to live. The Crowleys sought the aid of Dr. Robert Stonehill, an unconventional scientist who eventually helped them find a cure.  Ford will play Dr. Stonehill alongside Brendan Frasier and Keri Russell, who will portray the Crowleys.

Other CBS Films projects currently in the works include The Back-Up Plan with Jennifer Lopez and Beastly with Vanessa Hudgens.

  • Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen Star Works Through the Pain

After breakout performances in films such as Constantine and A Guide to Recognizing Your Saints, Shia LaBeouf hit the big-time, starring in blockbuster "event" films such as Transformers and Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull. That success seemed to be married to tragedy, however, as LaBeouf's work on the Transformers sequel was interrupted twice, first by a terrible car accident and then by a prop mishap that nearly cost him his eye.

Despite the injuries, LaBeouf's sense of responsibility and some "tough love" advice from his Indiana Jones co-star, Harrison Ford, got him back on his feet and back on the set. In a recent interview with Entertainment Weekly, LaBeouf said that Ford was the first to call him after he came out of surgery. LaBeouf recounted how Ford gave him a dose of Hollywood reality:

[He] called me on the phone and said, "Hey, are you okay?" I said, "Yeah, I'm good." He said, "Well, then you need to get back to work." I said, "Are you serious?" He said, "That's the way this cookie crumbles." So I went back to work. The show doesn't stop for anybody.

Instead of taking the recommended six months to heal, LaBeouf took Ford's advice and was back on the set within two weeks. LaBeouf said:

You know, what can you do? You just gotta grab your balls and move forward. There's nothing else to do.

  • Indiana Jones and the Search for the Loose-Lipped Extra

According to the New York Post's not always reliable Page 6, a castmember from the upcoming fourth installment of the Indiana Jones flick has been nixed from the final cut (and likely blacklisted from the industry for all eternity) after spilling the beans on some major plot points.

The actor, Tyler Nelson, was to play a Russian Soldier Dancer in the movie. During an interview with his hometown newspaper in Indiana, he let go of the following reveals:

    POSSIBLE SPOILER ALERT!

    - Indy and the Soviets are searching for a crystal skull in the South African jungles. That one we pretty much knew.

    - Indy is taken hostage by the Russians, who blackmail him by threatening to kill his ex-girlfriend, Marion Ravenwood, who is also the mother of Indy's child, played by Shia Lebeouf.

    - Cate Blanchett is an evil Russian who interrogates a bound up Indy.

Word is that Nelson's scenes have been cut from the film already and that Spielberg is fuming. Probably not the person you'd want to piss off in this business?

    Indiana Jones 4 update.

Lucas and Ford give an update.

  • Indy IV Plot Scoop!

UPDATE, 7/2, 3:45 pm: One more update from the Indy IV set over the weekend. The motorcyle chase took place during a protest rally at Yale's Old College Quad, which is just north of the New Haven Green. It now looks as though the football players originally cast will not get the chance to showcase their skills as the football portion was apparently nixed.

UPDATE, 6/28, 1 pm: Our source indicates that the motorcycle chase will likely be happening on Chapel Street instead of the practice field as originally reported. The production was initially seeking extras with football skills and possibly even UCONN chearleeders, however it's now unclear whether those extras will still be used with these new developments. The motorcycle scene was apparently cancelled due to the dangers of shooting a portion of the chase going through a tunnel connecting the field house to the Yale practice field. More to come!

UPDATE, 6/28, 11 am: filming of the scene began at 6am this morning, EST. The football sequence mentioned below has now apparently been nixed. We don't yet know what will replace it, but we should have that info for you soon.

As most of you already know by now. The new Indiana Jones movie is finally in production under the capable hands of Steven Spielberg.

You probably also have heard that a sequence is shooting in New Haven, Connecticut. While little was known about the sequence other than the rumor that it involves a car chase, we have the scoop for you here first...

According to our source, the scene is supposed to involve a Yale Football game at the practice field in which a motorcycle chase interrupts the big game. We also can't say for certain that Jones is on one of the motorcycles, but that's probably a pretty logical conclusion.

The scene goes down this Saturday with a call time just before dawn.

While we can't reveal our source, we can say that it comes from a reliable person close to the production.

We expect to have more details on the Connecticut portion of the shoot shortly, so stay tuned to ReelzChannel.com for the latest Indy 4 happenings!

  • Indiana Jones Goes to Connecticut

While that headline might not exactly sound very sexy, it looks to be true. The New Haven Register is reporting today that Indiana Jones 4 will be shooting a sequence on Chapel Street in New Haven, Connecticut.

According to the article, the scene will be a car chase running between College and High Streets. The Register goes on to report that a pre-production crew for Indy 4 visited the city last week to discuss the shoot with shop owners in the area.

A spokesman for Spielberg, Marvin Levy, has confirmed the report. Exact details aren't yet finalized, but word is that Indy will likely hit Connecticut in late June. As a resident of the state of Connecticut from 2000-2003, I hope he's not as bored there as I was.
