• Cooper, Aniston, and Galifianakis: You Are Here

  Variety reports that Zach Galifianakis, Bradley Cooper, and Jennifer Aniston have all committed to the romantic comedy You Are Here, written by Mad Men creator Matthew Weiner during his days as a Sopranos writer.

  The debut of Weiner as a writer and director, You Are Here was originally planned to start production during Mad Men's 2010 hiatus, but scheduling complications for the TV show's fourth season forced the movie to be postponed until 2011. All three stars are reportedly juggling their schedules to appear in the movie.

• Forbes Lists Angelina Jolie and Jennifer Aniston as Top Female Moneymakers in Hollywood

  

  According to The Hollywood Reporter, Forbes announced Angelina Jolie and Jennifer Aniston as the biggest female moneymakers in Hollywood this past year. Many people are, of course, already taking note of the Brad Pitt connection. From June 2008 to June 2009 Jolie pulled in $27 million, while Aniston earned $25 million.

  Jolie's big paycheck comes courtesy of Wanted, which grossed $341 million worldwide, and an advance for her role as a CIA agent in Phillip Noyce's upcoming Salt. Aniston's money comes from box-office winner Marley & Me, as well as her role in SmartWater commercials. She also received an advance for The Baster, where she will star alongside Juliette Lewis, Jason Bateman, and Jeff Goldblum.

  Completing the top 10 are Meryl Streep, Sarah Jessica Parker, Cameron Diaz, Sandra Bullock, Reese Witherspoon, Nicole Kidman, Drew Barrymore, and Renée Zellweger.

  THR also noted that the $183 million earned by the Top 10 women falls well short of the $393 million taken in by the Top 10 men. Harrison Ford topped that list with $65 million.

• Jennifer Aniston to Get Inseminated

  You've got to give it to Jennifer Aniston. Having been left for the beautiful Earth Mother goddess and her flock of babies, a weaker actress might have rethought the direction of her career. She might have eschewed starring in petsploitation films (Marley and Me) or He's Just Not That Into You. And a weaker woman definitely would have avoided signing onto a movie where she gets impregnated by a turkey baster, while Brangelina trots the twins 'round the world. But, God bless her, not Jen. Girlfriend is like, "Screw it."

  Aniston has signed on to star opposite Jason Bateman in The Baster, a fertility comedy from the dudes who brought you Blades of Glory. Aniston plays a neurotic woman who wants to have a baby via artificial insemination. Bateman plays her best friend who secretly replaces her donor's semen with his own.

  We can't wait for the press tour on this one. We can already imagine the mag covers, the awkward moments talking turkey basters with Letterman, the tabloids seizing on a fresh opportunity to dredge up the Jen vs. Angie stories yet again. Oh the movie magic!

• He's Just Not That Into You Review

  Based on the self-help book that blossomed out of a Sex and the City episode, He's Just Not That Into You has been adapted for the screen and features a massive ensemble cast of stars and starlets, including Ben Affleck, Jennifer Aniston, Jennifer Connelly, Ginnifer Goodwin, Scarlett Johansson, Bradley Cooper, Justin Long, and Kevin Connolly. Drew Barrymore does double duty, starring and producing for her Flower Films banner.

• George the Movie Star Toasts Imminent Tax Hike

  Hollywood A-listers, all of whom are amongst the lucky 5% who will feel the brunt of Barack Obama's socialist wrath that Joe the Plumber is so worried about, toasted the new president's victory. George Clooney issued a congratulatory press release, P. Diddy thinks his vote made all the difference, and Courteney Cox and David Arquette spread the wealth around at their place, partying with their friends Jennifer Aniston and John Mayer but sharing some champagne with the paparazzi outside too.

  Speaking of Courteney Cox, we haven't seen her for a while, but she's starring in the Adam Sandler comedy Bedtime Stories, opening December 25.

• The lovely ladies of Hollywood: Aniston, McAdams, Mirren, Wright Penn, and Michalka

  Hollywood girl power is in full force today, as casting news for several actresses hits the presses.

  Variety is reporting that Jennifer Aniston will be starring opposite Aaron Eckhart in Traveling, a drama about a relationship between a Seattle florist and a self-help guru. Traveling will be the feature directorial debut of writer Brandon Camp (Dragonfly, John Doe), and will be another in a long line of projecst Aniston has lined up, which include She's Just Not That Into You, Management, and Marley & Me.

  Variety also says that actresses Rachel McAdams, Helen Mirren, and Robin Wright Penn have all joined the cast of the Brad Pitt-Edward Norton drama State of Play. Casting for that movie is obviously in high gear, as Jason Bateman just signed on only a few days ago. McAdams will play a reporter on the politician's dead girlfriend story, Mirren will play her newspaper editor, and Wright Penn will play the politician's (Norton) estranged wife who gets involved with his former campaign manager (Pitt).

  Finally, MTV is reporting that 16-year-old singer AJ Michalka is the next one to join the cast in Peter Jackson's high profile adaptation of Alice Sebold's The Lovely Bones. She will be playing the best friend of the girl who gets killed.

• Monday morning movie news: Marley & Me, Bachelor No. 2, and The Young Victoria

  This morning's big news is that John Grogan's bestselling memoir about his crazy dog, Marley & Me, is going to be made into a movie. Owen Wilson will star as Grogan and Jennifer Aniston as his wife, as the two try to survive family life with the world's most insane yet lovable lab. We know it sounds sappy, but we read the book and it was good.

  David Frankel (The Devil Wears Prada) will direct, says Variety.

  In other news, Bachelor No. 2 and The Young Victoria are both filling out their casts. 

  Jason Biggs (yes, he of the pie porking in American Pie) and Lizzy Caplan (Mean Girls, Related) will take supporting roles as the best friends in the Dane Cook-Kate Hudson romantic comedy Bachelor No. 2, says The Hollywood Reporter. And Variety is reporting that Paul Bettany (The Da Vinci Code, A Beautiful Mind) and Thomas Kretschmann (King Kong, The Pianist) have joined the cast of the Scorsese-produced Queen Victoria biopic, The Young Victoria. Bettany will play Victoria's advisor Lord Melbourne and Kretschmann will play King Leopold of Belgium.

• Movie news: Aniston, Piven, and Trucker

  Jennifer Aniston is about to be the next cast member to join in Ken Kwapis's (License to Wed, The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants) adaptation of He's Just Not That Into You. The former Friends star is in negotiations to play a woman in a long-term relationship with a marriage-phobic boyfriend, says The Hollywood Reporter. Filming is scheduled to start next month in LA.

  Jeremy Piven (Entourage, Smokin' Aces) let slip to MTV on the Common music video shoot that he is about to star in a comedy called Don Ready. He wouldn't reveal anymore details other than that it is being produced by Will Ferrell and Adam McKay--which are obviously pretty juicy details.

  And finally, former Nicholl fellowship winner James Mottern will make his feature directing debut with his script Trucker, about a female truck driver who has to start to take care of her estranged 11-year-old son after his father is hospitalized. The indie drama will star Michelle Monaghan (North Country, Mr. & Mrs. Smith), Nathan Fillion (Waitress, Firefly), Benjamin Bratt (Miss Congeniality, Traffic), Joey Lauren Adams (Chasing Amy, Big Daddy), and Jimmy Bennett (Evan Almighty, Poseidon), says Variety.

• Movie news: Jennifer Aniston, James Cameron, and Sarah Jessica Parker

  Jennifer Aniston has signed to star in a new romantic comedy opposite one of our favorites, Steve Zahn (Reality Bites, Rescue Dawn).

  Management, written and directed by Stephen Belber (The Laramie Project), is about a traveling saleswoman (Aniston) who has a fling with a hotel manager (Zahn) who then decides to follow her around the country trying to win her love. Sounds like a pretty high-profile gig. We hope this means Zahn's star is rising!

  More news on James Cameron's long-awaited follow-up to Titanic. The live-action digital 3-D Avatar has added two new cast members: Michelle Rodriguez (Girlfight, Lost) and Stephen Lang (Gods and Generals, Niagara Niagara).

  Rodriguez will play an ex-Marine pilot and Lang a Marine colonel who must oversee the troops on planet Pandora.

  Finally, Sarah Jessica Parker has an indie flick coming out in advance of the Sex and the City movie we are all so eagerly anticipating. SJP stars as a dean at a New England college at the center of a racial hate crime investigation in Spinning Into Butter, adapted from Rebecca Gilman's play of the same name. It will premiere at next month's National Conference on Race, Reparation and Reconciliation in Atlanta.
