Such is the excitement over the upcoming Watchmen movie that even the most minute details of the highly-anticipated adaptation of Alan Moore's acclaimed graphic novel are being furiously scrutinized by fanboys everywhere.
Take the case of Jonah Hill. The star of Superbad recently became the subject of widespread internet speculation that he'd been cast in the role of Seymour, the assistant to newspaper editor Hector Godrey. (For those unfamiliar with the source material, the role ranks somewhere between "man on bus" and "girlfriend #2" in terms of importance. But hey -- this is Watchmen we're talking about.)
Thankfully, the intrepid folks at MTV Movies went to the source to find out the truth and put an end to the hearsay. In an interview to promote Superbad, Hill himself quashed the rumor, claiming that he'd never even been approached for the role. Case closed, right? We'll see. Let's not forget that Shia LaBeouf repeatedly said the same thing regarding Indy 4, and now he's in New Haven riding motorcycles with Harrison Ford. Allegedly.
