Leads Cameron Diaz and Ashton Kutcher have their best friends in place for What Happens in Vegas... The romantic comedy about two strangers who wake up after a drunken evening Vegas to discover they are married and have won a huge jackpot--and subsequently try to find out how they can avoid sharing the winnings with each other--has now added The Daily Show alum Rob Corddry and Boston Legal's Lake Bell to the cast.
And Saturday Night Live alums Chris Parnell and Rachel Dratch have joined the cast of Harold, the comedy about a prematurely balding high school student (Spencer Breslin). Parnell will play the gym coach who torments Harold, and Dratch the teacher who forces him to take off his hat--thus alerting the world to his condition.
Finally, Third Rock From the Sun's Joseph Gordon-Levitt has signed on to play the lead in The Frog King, a romantic
comedy about a young, underpaid New York publishing assistant who loses his girlfriend and tries to win her back. It will be directed by Sex and The City's Darren Star.
The Frog King was adapted from Adam Davies' 2002 chick-lit-ish novel of the same name (we LOVED it) by Bret Easton Ellis--the man who wrote American Psycho and Less Than Zero. Sounds like a quite odd pairing, but we are going to hope for the best.
Gordon-Levitt is currently cast in Uncertainty, an indie from David Siegel and Scott McGehee (Bee Season, The Deep End).
