  • International Trailer for Inglourious Basterds

There's lots of new footage in the just-released international trailer for Inglourious Basterds. While earlier trailers have tended to be a bit Brad Pitt-centric, this one focuses more on rest of the cast.

Playing a German psychopath recruited into the professional league of the "Nazi-killing business," Til Schweiger is impressively minimalist, communicating his reactions by only the smallest of gestures. We also get to see more of Mike Myers as a very proper British general, introducing the Basterds and setting up the climactic attack on the cinema. And the trailer wraps up with a laugh, rather than a bang, as SS Colonel Hans Landa (Christoph Waltz) fails to impress the Basterds with his command of American idioms.

  • International Man of Mystery's Career Not Over Yet

The Mummy: Tomb of the Dragon Emperor -- Early Fan Reviews So it turns out that Verne Troyer isn't the only one dying to see Austin Powers IV. Even though Mike Myers' latest flick, The Love Guru, got less love than Deepak Chopra at a Baptist revival meeting, New Line Cinema still believes Myers can draw a crowd -- at least if pulls his funny teeth out of a drawer and resurrects everyone's favorite horny British spy. Deadline Hollywood reports that with absolutely no demand whatsoever for a Love Guru 2, even from Verne Troyer, Myers has started work on a new Austin Powers adventure. This one will focus on Dr. Evil and his son.

  • The Love Guru Banned in India?

Yahoo! News is reporting that Mike Myers' return to comedy, The Love Guru, might not play in India. The movie, about an American who was left at an Indian ashram as a baby and then puts his schooling there to use as an unorthodox self-help guru, has raised hackles in the hindu community.

Universal Society of Hinduism president Rajan Zed accuses it of 'lampooning Hinduism' (which it obviously is) and is calling for India's Central Board of Film Certification and Ministry of Information and Broadcasting to ban the movie throughout India. For their part, the Central Board of Film Certification denies ever receiving an official request.

The real question is: Are these groups calling for the movie to be banned because it is poking fun at Hinduism or because it just isn't funny?

  • How BIG will the Ogre's B.O. Be?
That's Box Office, by the way (you weirdo).

Speculation on the potential Box Office for Shrek the Third has been all over the place, from as low as $90 million (yes, that's actually low these days for a blockbuster) to as high as $120 (dangerously close to Spidey 3 numbers).

As reviews surfaced this week, the big green smelly guy has taken a critical pummeling. Rotten Tomatoes scores Shrek the Third a lowly 45% splat (compared to and 88% certified fresh for Shrek 2) and his Metacritic score is a failing 57 out of 100. Our own Thomas Leupp scored Shrek the Third a 6 out of 10.

So what do you think the Ogre will take in at megaplexes this weekend? Are you planning to see it? Chime in on the comments section of the Shrek the Third detail page where you'll also find photos, trailers and Thomas Leupp's 60-second video review.

Next Showing: Shrek the Third is now playing Nationwide and Far, Far Away.

  • Get ready for Shrek

Does Mike Myers even make live action flicks anymore? Not that he needs to -- he's got more than enough Shrek money coming in to ditch them entirely. Actually, that might not be a bad idea. Remember Cat in the Hat? It still gives me nightmares.Sooooo creepy

Myers reprises his trademark role as the voice of the big green ogre this summer in Shrek the Third. Will the third installment the franchise, the crown jewel of Dreamworks Animation, live up to the hype? Check out our preview of the highly-anticipated animated flick, which arrives in theaters on May 18th.
