Meanwhile, <em>Deadline Hollywood</em> reports that Hathaway has been <a href="http://www.deadline.com/hollywood/anne-hathaway-wanted-for-spider-man-4/">approached for a role</a> in the movie. While neither reports indicate that a particular role was offered, speculation persists that both actresses are up for the role of the Black Cat. </p><p>The character of The Black Cat is still only <a href="http://www.reelzchannel.com/movie-news/5031/search-for-black-cat-in-spider-man-4-confirmed">unofficially confirmed</a>, but the search is certainly on for a female role in <em>Spider-Man 4</em> — a move that only strengthens the argument that the role is Spidey's most infamous female villain.
