Chi-Lan Lieu
Chi-Lan Lieu -- a self-proclaimed karaoke addict, gadget geek, and entertainment freak -- began her career as a television writer and producer for several cable networks.
Prior to being named host and expert on HGTV's I Want That! Tech Toys, Lieu worked as a products reporter for TechTV's Fresh Gear, a co-host of G4's live daily show, The Screen Savers, a tech writer for STUFF magazine and a go-to tech expert making appearances on shows such as Ellen on NBC and The View on ABC, plus networks like E! Entertainment, the TV Guide Channel and VH1.
A lover of all things entertainment, Chi-Lan has also been tapped to host the weekly movie trailer show, The Big Tease on ReelzChannel. She contributes regularly to Dailies, ReelzChannel's daily news program. She also serves as an entertainment reporter for Universal Studios Pictures in which she has interviewed A-list celebrities such as Jennifer Aniston, Jamie Foxx and The Rock.
Lieu describes herself as "an average, friendly, neighborhood kook" who enjoys spending time with her wonderful family, volunteering, decorating, traveling -- her goal is three different countries per year -- and since she comes from an entire family of Chinese chefs, cooking.
Chi-Lan was born in Vietnam and raised in San Francisco and Alhambra, California. She speaks Hakka, basic Mandarin, and kindergarten level Cantonese. Her philosophy, 'If I can order food, I'm good.' Chi-Lan currently resides in Los Angeles with her chubby, little dog, Moose.
